Since we’ve been talking about switching to Indian brands, toothbrush and toothpaste are one of the most commonly used Dental products and it becomes even more important to regulate that practice of ours when it comes to choosing our products.

So, today I’m going to help you with some great toothpaste brands in India which I would recommend.

  1. If you’ve read my blog Atmanirbhar Bharat, you already know bits about how herbal toothpaste is no less than the conventional ones. And companies like Patanjali, Vicco, Himalaya manufacture some great herbal toothpaste.

  2. Patanjali and Himalaya are completely herbal and without any preservatives, but also have Fluoride in it which is great for cavity protection, but according to the revised facts is not advisable to use because of its ill effects on your general health.

  3. One of the great and highly advisable herbal toothpaste from Vicco. It is an Indian Brand, Made in India, Completely Herbal, No Preservatives and No Fluoride. That is the reason this is the Herbal toothpaste Brand which I will recommend more than anything else.

  4. Dabur is also an Indian brand, and its Red toothpaste is my second favorite Herbal toothpaste, but its 73% stakes are bought by a German company right now so it will not be correct to say that all the money from its sales come to India.

  5. That was about Herbal brands, but India is also a hub for commercial toothpaste production which also provides a great range. These are some small scale manufacturers that are not as popular as other foreign brands but are equally good when it comes to its effects.

  6. One such brand which I was really convinced by is GLOBAL HEALTHCARE. They only manufacture both herbal and conventional toothpaste. They are also ISO 9001:2008 certified. There also manufacture products for companies like Hindustan Unilever, Colgate, Reliance, etc.

  7. The second brand I was really impressed with was Goran Pharma. Apart from toothpaste they also make products like sanitizers. They have 28 types of toothpaste starting from that for sensitive teeth, whitening, kids, activated charcoal, calcium, etc.

  8. Apart from these two brands, I’m also going to list some other brands which are really good like Dr. Jaikiran, Util CMC group, Choice toothpaste, etc. However, the first two are my personal favorite ones.

  9. One more brand which I am going to talk about in Hindustan Unilever which makes toothpaste like Pepsodent, Close-up & Ayush. Even though the name of the company includes Hindustan which might mislead many people, I want to clarify that it is not an Indian Brand. Hindustan Unilever is an Indian Subsidiary of Unilever PLC which is a British Brand originally.

  10. I hope this article was enough convincing and informative for you guys to share it with others. And even if you are not 100% convinced to change your toothpaste brand right now, I just want to say that these leading brands like Colgate, Pepsodent, Close-up manufacture their products in India. So even if it’s not an Indian brand, at least it is made in India.

In the meantime, I hope most of you get to chance to think, try, and read more about new options that succeed in convincing you for the better.

And as I already mentioned in my previous blog, the purpose of this article is not to spread any hate, it's only to help you all to make an informed decision regarding your products. And I hope I did that well.
